African Nightcrawlers (Eudrilus eugeniae)

African Nightcrawlers are one of the most productive composting worms available, known for their rapid processing of organic waste, large size, and high-quality castings. They are a top-tier choice for serious vermicomposters and also perform exceptionally well as fishing bait due to their movement and durability.

Unlike cooler-tolerant species such as Red Wigglers or European Nightcrawlers, African Nightcrawlers prefer warmer conditions and thrive best in temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s. When kept in their ideal range, they are extremely active breeders and composters.

These worms are larger, more active, and generally faster-working than most common composting species, making them ideal for high-output worm bins and warm-climate systems.

Shipping & Packaging

All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Worms are carefully packed in breathable, temperature-stable bedding to reduce stress and maintain proper moisture levels during transit.
